Owner Operator Truck Driver
High growth company looking to expand its trucking operations. Empire Blended Products is seeking a qualified and motivated Owner Operator to partner with our company for regional and local routes. You must have your own truck. We will supply a flatbed.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure the pickup and safe delivery of product as directed.
- Maintain preventive maintenance program for transport truck and trailer.
- Follow DOT requirements and company-safe driver guidelines while performing duties.
- Perform daily inspections as required by the DOT to ensure assigned equipment is in safe and compliant operating condition.
- Ensure all required paperwork (i.e. certifications, logs) is completed and in compliance with company and government regulations.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Requirement:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Two years tractor/trailer experience or one year experience after completion of truck driving school.
- Demonstrated communications, interpersonal, and teamwork skills necessary to work safely and effectively with customers.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work maximum hours allowed under DOT hours of service regulations
- Proof of Workers Compensation Insurance and Commercial Truck Insurance
- Candidates must be available to work days, and an occasional weekend
Compensation is done on a per load basis in partnership with the Logistics Coordinator.

Description:
The Plant Maintenance Mechanic will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and focus on maintaining a smoothly running facility in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on position and will require keen ability to navigate and fix state-of-the-art factory machinery. Work will be in a heavy industrial environment and the Mechanic must be comfortable working in conditions that may be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy. We are seeking a highly responsible individual that thrives in an autonomous workplace. The Mechanic will be supplied with his own work area and company tools. Duties include:
- Maintaining a smoothly operating facility by locating problem sources, removing defective parts, and determining replacements for machinery and plant
- Ensuring peak operation of machinery and mechanical equipment through a required familiarity with basic mechanics.
- Managing detailed maintenance records, recording work performed and parts used.
- Maintaining the following facilities and equipment:
- 22 buildings and 7 equipment sheds
- 31 product storage silos
- 5 material hoppers
- 3 high speed production lines (weighing, blending, packaging, conveying, palletizing and wrapping)
- 6 specialty blending and packaging lines
- 7 specialty packaging lines
- 9 bagging stations
- 16 dust collection units
- 5 air compressors with refrigerant driers, regulators, oilers and moisture separators
- 3 blower units for material movement
- 2 pneumatic conveying systems
- 4 stretch wrap machines with conveying systems
- 10 screw conveyors, 9 bucket elevators and 16 belt conveyors for product movement
- 1 freight elevator
- Numerous electronic scales, heat sealing and sewing equipment
- Manual and electric pallet jacks
- 24 fork lifts
- 4 yard trucks

Requirements:
- High school degree
- Exceptional mechanical skills
- Excellent welding skills
- Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems
- Good electrical knowledge and auto-mechanic skills
- Proficient in carpentry and plumbing
- Resourcefulness and adaptability to new mechanical issues and equipment
- Experience and confidence in maintaining the aforementioned equipment

Description:
The Production Laborer will report directly to the Plant Manager and be responsible
for assisting in the production process on multiple levels. This is a hands-on position in an
industrial facility and will require basic factory labor ability. Responsibilities
include:
- Working in the production area as assigned, which will include filling bags,
loading the products, handling the distribution of the product, and
warehouse inventory
- Loading and unloading trucks when working in the shipping and receiving
area, which includes driving a forklift, organizing inventory, and coordinating
with the Warehouse Manager
- Operating various production equipment, such as packing and blending
machines
- Performing work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of
production
- Adhering to the safety and quality control regulations established by Plant
Manager
- Acquiring and maintaining a Forklift Safety Certification
- Timely and reliable work attendance every day
Qualifications:
- High school degree preferred
- Forklift experience or industrial experience required
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Extremely punctual with an excellent attendance record
- Responsible and professional with a strong work ethic
- Takes pride in work and possesses attention to detail
- Can work in a fast - paced, tough environment
- Ability to work well within a team
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs
