PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

BLACK BEAUTY IRON^®  is a copper and coal slag blended abrasive. It is low dusting, sharp, angular and has a low free silica content. It is ideal as a blasting abrasive and is available in three popular grades, Extra Fine, Fine and Medium. It meets abrasive specification SSPC AB-1, MIL-A-22262B(SH) and environmental standard 40CFR 261.24a(TCLP). It is a 100% recycled “green” product.

MEDIUM GRADE BLACK BEAUTY IRON^®  is used for general purpose repair and maintenance blasting, for removal of paint, rust, mill scale and other coatings. Minimum suggested nozzle size is ¼” and under standard blasting conditions will achieve a 3.5-5.0 mil profile.

FINE GRADE BLACK BEAUTY IRON^® is used for new construction, light paint and rust removal, and for special maintenance applications requiring reduced profiles. Minimum suggested nozzle size is 3/16” and under standard blasting conditions will achieve a 2.5-3.5 mil profile.

EXTRA FINE GRADE BLACK BEAUTY IRON^® is used for light blasting requiring a clean surface and minimum anchor profile including brush off blast or high pressure water blast systems. Minimum suggested nozzle size is 1/8” and under standard blasting conditions will achieve a 1.5-3.0 mil profile.

COVERAGE:
Each 50 pound bag is approximately 0.4 cubic foot.

PACKAGING:
Available in 50 pound multi-wall paper bags.
