PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

STOP IT is a single component, polymer modified, quick setting (3-5 minutes) hydraulic cement which instantly stops running water or seepage through concrete and masonry.  The polymer modification in STOP IT ensures superior adhesion and results in exceptional structural strength.

USES:

• Active leaks in walls and floors
  
• Fill and seal spaces around pipes and conduits penetrating walls and floors

• Fast repair of culverts, catch basins, sewers and septic tanks
  
• Basement walls and floors, swimming pools and retaining walls

INSTALLATION:

Surface Preparation: 
Surfaces must be structurally sound, clean and free of dust, dirt, oils, paints and other contaminants that will prevent proper bond.  All acid-based cleaning solutions must be neutralized.  Enlarge crack to be filled to :" and cut square or undercut, avoiding V‑shape cuts.  Brush out all loose material.  For large patches and holes and blistered areas, cut back area to be patched to a depth of 1".  Be certain to remove all tie wires, steel and wood separators.  These areas are best repaired with EMPIRE BLENDED PATCH ALL when no active water is present.  Dampen area to be patched.

Mixing: 
Mix STOP IT with clean water to the consistency of putty.  Do not mix more than can be placed in 3 minutes.  Do not retemper or handle excessively.

Placement: 
When material begins to get firm and warm, place STOP IT immediately.  To stop flowing water, start at the top of the leak and work down.  Push into crack firmly and maintain pressure on the plug with hand (gloves are recommended), trowel or block of wood until it has set firmly.  Do not brush or trowel wet surface as crack will not seal.  Keep plug damp for 15 minutes.  If the water pressure is severe, drill 1 or more weep holes below opening to relieve pressure.  Plug weep holes with STOP IT after main leak has been stopped.  Cured STOP IT can be top 
coated with EMPIRE BLENDED SEAL MASONRY COATING modified with EMPIRE BLENDE EM-CRYL 600 to blend with adjoining areas. 
LIMITATIONS:

STOP IT is temperature sensitive regarding set time.  Above 70EF, use cold water for mixing.  In extremely hot temperatures, use ice water for mixing.  Below 40EF, use hot water for mixing.  Do not apply to frozen or frost covered surfaces.

Curing: 
Keep plug damp for 15 minutes.  No other special curing is required.

Coverage: 
1 pound of STOP IT yields 17 cubic inches and will seal a crack :" deep by :" wide by 30" long.

Packaging: 
Available in 10 pound plastic pails (4 per carton) and 50 pound plastic pails.

CAUTION:

Contains Portland Cement CAS # 65997-15‑1.  Freshly mixed cement products may cause skin injury.  Avoid contact with skin where possible and wash exposed areas promptly with water.  The use of impervious rubber gloves is recommended.  May generate enough heat to cause burns if large mass is kept in contact with skin while hardening.  If any product gets into the eye, rinse immediately and repeatedly with water.  If ingested, do not induce vomiting and get prompt medical attention.  Also contains Sand CAS # 14808-60-7.  Avoid breathing dust.  Prolonged exposure to dust may cause delayed lung injury (silicosis) or cancer IARC Class 2A.  Wear NIOSH approved mask for silica dust.  Keep Out Of Reach Of Children.

Due to the use of this product beyond our control, we assume no liability for damages of any kind, and the user accepts the product "as is" and without warranties, expressed or implied, from either Empire Blended Products or its agents.  The suitability of the product for an intended use shall be solely up to the user.  Our only obligation shall be to replace or pay for any material proved defective, with our liability limited to the purchase price of materials supplied by us.
