PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

ANCORAPID is a fast setting, pourable, non‑shrink hydraulic cement for setting bolts, posts, railings and other fixtures in concrete and masonry.  It sets stronger than concrete in 15 minutes and is intended for interior use only.

USES:

  • Anchoring bolts, posts and railings
  • Patching cracks, breaks and holes in concrete and terrazzo floors, stairs, walls and landings
ADVANTAGES:
  • Superfast set reduces downtime
  • Easy to use, just add water and pour
  • Tenacious bond to concrete
  • Adheres to any object embedded in it
  • Contains no corrosive agents, will not damage iron or aluminum
  • Will not loosen, crack or shrink under stress, vibration or cold temperature
  • Expands as it sets
  • Self-leveling
  • Two times stronger than concrete
INSTALLATION:

Surface Preparation:

In sound concrete or masonry, drill holes large enough to accept the heads of bolts, including their washers.  Make certain the hole diameter will allow the material to readily flow between the bolt or post and the wall of the cavity.  Drill hole at least 1" larger than the object to be anchored and at least 2" deep.  After drilling, blow or vacuum out all loose particles to ensure a dust free surface.  Dampen the bottom and walls of the cavity but allow no standing water to remain before filling.  When used for patching, chisel out damaged areas and clean out all loose dust and particles.  If hole is greasy or oily, chip off with a hammer or chisel to get down to clean, firm concrete.  Moisten area but do not allow puddles to form.

Mixing:
Add ANCORAPID to clean water in a clean container and mix thoroughly to a pourable batter like consistency.  Do not mix more material than can be used in 5 minutes.

Placement:
Pour a small amount of ANCORAPID in the hole and work the object to be anchored into the mix to eliminate any entrapped air.  Fill the rest of the hole and bring material above the surrounding concrete to allow for water runoff.  Allow ANCORAPID to set for 1 hour before applying pressure on the installation.  When used for patching, ANCORAPID should not be applied less than 2" thick.

Curing:
ANCORAPID is self-curing.
