PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

FLOWABLE BACKFILL is a Portland cement based concentrate which is designed to be mixed with locally approved aggregates to produce a controlled density back fill material. This unique formulation will provide a stable, non-settling fill material which can be overlayed with asphalt or concrete within two hours.

INSTALLATION:

Surface Preparation:

Inspect area to be filled to insure bulkheads are in place as not to allow material to flow into unwanted areas (i.e. Drainage pipes, utility outlets, culverts). Make sure area is prepared before adding FLOWABLE BACKFILL to truck.

Mixing: 
Use a local concrete suppliers Flowable Fill mix design less all cementitious material. Follow supplier’s recommendations with regards to the addition of any admixtures. Add up to four 50 lb. bags of FLOWABLE BACKFILL per cubic yard. Thoroughly wash down the fins of the concrete truck and mix for a minimum of 5 minutes.

Placement:
The Rapid Harding Flowable Fill will seek its own level with little or no mechanical assistance. Avoid disturbing fill material once it begins to take its initial set. Do not delay the discharge of this material. Total time from the addition of FLOWABLE BACKFILL to the final placement should not exceed 25 minutes.

Overlaying:
Before placing an overlay, FLOWABLE BACKFILL must be firm enough as to not allow any movement of fill during the placement of overlay. Asphalt overlays require precautions with regards to compaction. DO NOT use vibratory rollers or jumping jack type equipment.

CAUTION:

Contains PORTLAND CEMENT CAS #65997-15‑1.  Freshly mixed cement products may cause skin irritation and burns.  Avoid contact with skin where possible and wash exposed areas promptly with water.  If any product gets into the eye, rinse immediately and repeatedly with water.  If ingested, do not induce vomiting and get prompt medical attention.  Keep Out Of Reach Of Children.

WARRANTY:

Due to the use of this product beyond our control, we assume no liability for damages of any kind, and the user accepts the product "as is" and without warranties, expressed or implied, from either Empire Blended Products or its agents.  The suitability of the product for an intended use shall be solely up to the user.  Our only obligation shall be to replace or pay for any material proved defective, with our liability limited to the purchase price of materials supplied by us.
