PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Empire Blended Grout It is a fast setting, high strength, non-shrink, and non-corrosive cementitious grout recommended for a wide variety of interior and exterior construction applications. Grout It contains no metallic aggregates or oxidizing catalysts. It has an easy application, only water is needed for Grout-It to be used at dry pack, plastic, flowable, or fluid consistency. Grout It expands at a controlled rate in order to insure its high strength and resultant load-carrying ability. Typical applications include machinery bases, structural columns, bearing plates, pre-cast tee joints, pump and equipment bases, power line stanchions, anchoring bolts and railings and patching. Grout It meets Corps of Engineers Specification CRD-621 and ASTM C-1107.

INSTALLATION:

Surface Preparation:
All surfaces and contact surfaces must be structurally sound, clean and free of dust, dirt, oils, paints and all other contaminants that will prevent proper bond. Make certain all loose material is removed. Any metal that Grout It will come in contact with must be de-rusted and free of all oil and grease. Maintain contact areas between 50°F and 80°F for proper performance.
CAUTION: Acid based cleaning solutions must be neutralized. Grout-It is not recommended for featheredge patches. Area to be patched must be cut at right angles with the surrounding area. Thoroughly wet the area to be patched, then remove excess water from voids and holes. Construct forms where needed and caulk to prevent leakage.

Mixing:
A mortar mixer is recommended. Pre-wet the mixer and empty excess water. A dry pack consistency requires 2 ¾ quarts of water per 50 pound bag of Grout It. A plastic consistency requires 3 ¼ quarts of water per 50 pound bag of Grout It. A flowable consistency requires 3 ½ quarts of water per 50 pound bag of Grout It. A fluid consistency requires 4 ⅓ quarts of water per 50 pound bag of Grout It. Add water to mixer and then add Grout It while the mixer is running. Mix approximately three minutes, until smooth and lump-free. Use a mixer large enough to permit continuous placement before any part of the grout has set.

Application:
Grout It should be placed in accordance with standard grouting procedures and recommendations of ACI for placing and curing of concrete and cement based products. For best results, place grout quickly and continuously. Place grout by pouring, troweling, packing or pumping from one side to avoid air entrapment. Mix only enough material that can be placed in 5 minutes. Cure as you would conventional concrete. After setting, cut back or finish Grout It to final configuration. Allow to cure for 24 hours.

Curing:
Damp curing is recommended.  Allow to cure for 24 hours before applying weight or stress.

Coverage:
One 50 pound bag of GROUT IT will yield 0.45 cubic feet.

Packaging:
Available in 50 pound multiwall paper bags with moisture barrier.

LIMITATIONS:

Do not apply to frozen surfaces or if temperature will fall below 40EF within 24 hours.

CAUTION:

Contains Portland Cement CAS #65997-15‑1.  Freshly mixed cement products may cause skin injury.  Avoid contact with skin where possible and wash exposed areas promptly with water.  If any product gets into the eye, rinse immediately and repeatedly with water.  If ingested, do not induce vomiting and get prompt medical attention. Also contains Sand CAS #14808-60-7.  Avoid breathing dust.  Prolonged exposure to dust may cause delayed lung injury (silicosis) or cancer IARC Class 2A.  Wear NIOSH approved mask for silica dust.  Keep Out Of Reach Of Children.

Due to the use of this product beyond our control, we assume no liability for damages of any kind, and the user accepts the product "as is" and without warranties, expressed or implied, from either Empire Blended Products or its agents.  The suitability of the product for an intended use shall be solely up to the user.  Our only obligation shall be to replace or pay for any material proved defective, with our liability limited to the purchase price of materials supplied by us.
