PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

RAINBOW TRI SODIUM PHOSPHATE is an all-purpose, heavy duty cleaner with an endless variety of household uses.  It cleans fast and without scrubbing.  As a general household cleaner it can be used on walls, woodwork, floors, ranges, refrigerators, washing machines or any enamel or ceramic surface.  It will dissolve grease, grime and surface oil deposits.  As a heavy duty cleaner, it is ideal for cleaning floors and other heavily soiled surfaces.  It is excellent for removing grease from motors, engines and other mechanical parts.  It also serves as a prepainting cleaner to degloss and degrease surfaces.  When mixed in higher concentration, TRI SODIUM PHOSPHATE can be used to clean paint from work clothes, as a paint, varnish and shellac remover, and as a paintbrush cleaner to restore brushes so hardened with paint that they are no longer usable.

APPLICATION:

Surface Preparation: 
Before cleaning, remove loose or excess dirt by sweeping or vacuuming.

Mixing: 
Slowly add the appropriate amount of TRI SODIUM PHOSPHATE to hot water and stir until completely dissolved (see Suggested Proportions).  Hot water is preferable , except when using TRI SODIUM PHOSPHATE to clean paintbrushes, where warm is better.

Directions: 
When used as a general household cleaner, apply using a damp sponge or cloth, working from the bottom up to avoid streaking.  Clean a small area at a time and rinse thoroughly with clean, hot water and wipe dry.
When used as a heavy duty cleaner, apply with a damp mop, sponge, cloth or stiff brush.  Rinse thoroughly with clean, hot water and wipe dry.
When used as a paint, varnish or shellac remover, apply with a mop or brush and allow the solution to remain on the surface for 20-30 minutes.  Remove the softened paint with a dull scraper or putty knife.  Rinse the surface thoroughly with clean, warm water and wipe dry to prevent excessive raising of the wood grain.  Surface may be refinished when thoroughly dried and all traces of TRI SODIUM PHOSPHATE have been removed.
When used to clean paint from work clothes, use 4-6 tablespoons of TRI SODIUM PHOSPHATE per gallon of hot water.  Soak clothes overnight, then launder as usual.

When uses as a paintbrush cleaner, press the bristles against the bottom of the can to work the cleaner into the brush.  Separate the bristles with a comb  or putty knife as the paint softens.  Keep dipping and combing until all the paint has been removed, generally 24-48 hours.  When clean, wash off with clean, warm water and allow to dry before using.

Coverage: 
One pound of TRI SODIUM PHOSPHATE will make between 1 and 16 gallons of cleaning solution, depending on the strength mixed.

Packaging: 
Available in 1 pound boxes with sealed plastic bags (12 per carton), 5 pound boxes with sealed plastic bags (6 per carton) and 25 pound and 50 pound multiwall paper bags with moisture barrier.

SUGGESTED PROPORTIONS:

General Household Cleaner: 
1-2 tablespoons TRI SODIUM PHOSPHATE per gallon of water
Heavy Duty Cleaner: 
2-4 tablespoons TRI SODIUM PHOSPHATE per gallon of water
Paint, Varnish and Shellac Remover: 
1 pound TRI SODIUM PHOSPHATE per gallon of water
Paintbrush Cleaner: 
1 pound TRI SODIUM PHOSPHATE per gallon of water

TECHNICAL DATA:

Phosphates are not legal for sale as cleaning compounds in many states.  Check with your local authorities to see if its use is permitted in your area.

LIMITATIONS:

Do not use on wood veneer or other woods affected by water.  Be sure to wear rubber gloves when handling TRI SODIUM PHOSPHATE and cover the floor under pail to prevent marks.

CAUTION:

Contains Tri Sodium Phosphate CAS 7601-54‑9.  Avoid prolonged contact with skin.  Avoid splashing in eyes.  If splashed in eyes, flush thoroughly with water and get prompt medical attention.  If swallowed, drink at least 2 glasses of milk or water and get prompt medical attention.  Keep Out Of Reach Of Children.

Due to the use of this product beyond our control, we assume no liability for damages of any kind, and the user accepts the product "as is" and without warranties, expressed or implied, from either Empire Blended Products or its agents.  The suitability of the product for an intended use shall be solely up to the user.  Our only obligation shall be to replace or pay for any material proved defective, with our liability limited to the purchase price of materials supplied by us.
