PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

FLOOR PATCH is a special underlayment formulation for use above grade to level and repair wood, concrete, plaster or tile floors.  It can be used before applying floor coverings, such as linoleum, vinyl, rubber, asphalt tile, core composition, ceramic tile or carpeting to  fill cracks, nail holes, knots and wear spots.

USES:

▸   Patch holes in wood sub floors
▸   Smooth imperfections, low spots or knots in wood floors
▸   Equalize floor levels
▸   Provide a smooth surface for resilient flooring or carpeting

INSTALLATION:

Surface Preparation:
All surfaces must be structurally sound, clean and free of dust, dirt, oils, paints and all other contaminants that will prevent proper bond.  Concrete floors should be fully cured and free of curing compounds and efflorescence.  Dampen concrete and masonry surfaces with water before applying FLOOR PATCH, being careful not to leave any standing water.  If the surface is very smooth and non-absorbent, such as ceramic tile and terrazzo, use EMPIRE BLENDED EM-BOND C as a bonding agent, following directions on the bottle.

Mixing:
Mix FLOOR PATCH with clean water to a thick but workable consistency. Each 25 pound bag of FLOOR PATCH requires approximately 1 gallon of water.  Stiff mixtures are best for patching, thin mixtures for featheredging.  Keep mixing utensils clean.  Do not retemper material that has begun to set.

Placement:
Spread mixed material with broad putty knife or trowel to desired thickness.  Immediately finish surface with a steel trowel.  Clean tools with water immediately after use.  FLOOR PATCH achieves maximum hardness after 3 hours.  Once fully hardened, it can be sanded to a smoother finish.

Curing:
FLOOR PATCH is self-curing.

Coverage:
Each 25 pound bag will cover approximately 35 square feet at ⅛" thickness.

Packaging:
Available in 10 pound boxes with sealed plastic bags (6 per carton) and 25 pound multiwall paper bags with moisture barrier.

Set Time (ASTM C-191)........................ 15 minutes
Compressive Strength (ASTM C-109)...... 2,500 psi

LIMITATIONS:

Do not use below grade.  Do not use in wet areas or where moisture may be present.  For these areas we recommend EMPIRE BLENDED FLOOR ALL or EMPIRE BLENDED PATCH IT.

CAUTION:

Contains Calcium Sulfate.  If ingested, may result in obstruction.  If ingested, induce vomiting using large quantities of milk and call physician immediately.  Avoid inhalation.  Use only with adequate ventilation.  If affected by inhalation, get fresh air immediately.  To avoid possible burns or irritation, avoid eye and skin contact by wearing safety glasses and rubber gloves.  In case of eye contact, flush thoroughly with water and get prompt medical attention.  In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water.  If irritation persists, consult a physician.  Keep Out Of Reach Of Children.

Due to the use of this product beyond our control, we assume no liability for damages of any kind, and the user accepts the product "as is" and without warranties, expressed or implied, from either Empire Blended Products or its agents.  The suitability of the product for an intended use shall be solely up to the user.  Our only obligation shall be to replace or pay for any material proved defective, with our liability limited to the purchase price of materials supplied by us.
